Believe it or not I turn 30 tomorrow. It feels so weird, feels like only yesterday I was 20 but now I progress into a new era of maturity and growth (Overstatement of the century I know). I wanted to honor the occasion with a Blog Post so I thought the idea since I’ll be 30 I’ll list 30 facts about myself, include some funny anecdotes and some other facts you probably already know so anyway let’s get to it.
1- My Birth Sign is a Pisces.
2- My Favorite Colour is Red.
3- My Favourite Film is Rear Window directed by Alfred Hitchcock although The Wizard of Oz runs a Close Second.
4 – My Favourite Disney Film is Mary Poppins.
5- My Favourite Horror Film is Scream.
6- I have a BA Hons in Video and Film Production.
7- I have a Masters in Digital Marketing.
8- My Favourite Aftershave Brand is Armani Diamonds.
9- My Favourite Beer is Carlsberg.
10- A Latte is my Favourite Type of Coffee.
11- On a night out in London I tipsily fell over in a Take Away (I’m a Class Act).
12- I came out at 27.
13- Backstage at a show I met a TV Star who was in just a Towel.
14- I’m a Huge Dog Lover (As you already probably know with all the Dog Pictures I post on here).
15- Three of my Cousins have 2 Cousins called Rory and Daniel and I always used to get them mixed up (I’m that bad with names). It actually became a Christmas Tradition at one point
16- I love Mountain Climbing and have climbed some of the Best Mountains in Ireland such as The Mourne Mountains i.e Cloughmour, Slieve Martin, Slieve Doan. I have also climbed St Patrick’s Mountain Croagh Patrick several times.
17- My Celebrity Crushes include Daniel Radcliffe, Dan Levy, and Dominic Monaghan.
18- Back in Primary School when I was in trouble the Headmaster asked me if I liked being the Center of Attention and I said no. Looking back I wish I had the cheek to say Yes.
19- Back in College Years I had a Portuguese Friend called NuNo and I nicknamed him Nemo. His nickname for me was Willy as in the Free Willy. Cheeky but Funny
20- I was obsessed with Westlife in my Teenage Years and loved thier Music loads (Tragic Alert).
21- I loved and still do Pop Music like Girls Aloud, Lady Ga Ga, ABBA and Britney Spears.
22- I’m part of a Murder She Wrote Fan Page on Facebook (No Joke).
23- A Film that slightly traumatized me as a Child was Who Framed Rodger Rabbit, the Part where Christopher LLoyd is revealed to be a Toon scared the S*** out of me.
24- One time I was out at the Pub with my Uncle Cousins, my Aunts Friend and his Daughter. When I asked the Daughter where her Mum was, she responded that her Parents were divorced which led to some awkwardness during the evening. My Cousins still remind me about it sometimes. I should not be allowed out in Public.
25- During a Lecture I was asked to read out loud from an article. I came to one sentence that had a word starting O, it was Organization if i recall but I embarrassingly got mixed up and said Orgasm by accident. No it was not at all embarrassing (Joke).
26- A Bad Movie I really like is Elektra (2005). Okay it could have been better but I still think it’s underrated.
27- A Movie everyone really loves that I really hate is Pulp Fiction. I’m sorry I found it very boring.
28- My First exposure to LGBTQ Material was the movie Late Bloomers (1996) about a School Basketball Coach Dinah who falls in love with the School Secretary Carly. I must re-watch it some time.
29- I have a set of Nightmare on Elm Street Pajamas.
30- Finally as you all know I love Harry Potter, If I was to pick my absolute Favourite it would be either The Philosopher’s Stone, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire or The Deathly Hallows.
Anyway that wraps up 30 Facts about me. It feels so strange to be turning 30 but they do say life begins at 30 so here’s to what the future holds. Looking forward to tomorrow and celebrating with my Friends and Family over some Gin and Bubbly.
